The loop on the kitchaid oven mitt was very poorly sewn in (as was, apparently the sides of the oven mitt) and seven months later it has come out and left a notable hole in the side of the oven mitt which has seen only intermittent and has only needed washing thrice. I also note the loop size was inconsistent between the hand and glove mitts.I have never in my life seen an oven mitt fall apart in the stitching. I literally have some of my great-grandmothers oven mitts I don’t use them because they’re too worn to be effective heat blockers plus they are antiques but still. How do you screw up the stitching?!Compare the-lasting-seven-months kitchenaid mitts to my old Williams-Sonoma oven mitts I dug out (that I purchased the kitchenaid to replace) that 12 years later are as sturdily put together as ever, just a bit singed where my old housemate burned them. Guess I know where I am going to replace this set.Shoddy workmanship by kitchenaid. I have never seen an oven mitt fall apart like this in my life. I only went with this purchase for color-coordination purposes but never again will I buy knit products from Kitchenaid.
